• Baseball clinic is Jan. 30
      The Williston High School baseball team will  hold a baseball clinic   Saturday, Jan. 30 beginning at 9 a.m. for ages 5-13. The cost is $25 which includes a T-shirt and lunch. State champ players and current MLB players will be in attendance.  
  • WYAA has new officers; looks toward gridiron
    By KEITH CHARTRAND Contributing Writer WILLISTON – It was the first men’s softball game of the season and Williston Youth Athletic Association board member and football coordinator Bobby Crooms is doing what he does best: multitasking. He is answering questions from parents inquiring about the WYAA June youth football camp sign ups. He is turning the lights on for the softball field. He is manning the concession stand deep fryer and grill serving up French fries, hot dogs and hamburgers.
  • 4-H Camp Cherry Lake
    Applications for residential camp 4-H Cherry Lake are now being accepted.  Each camper will attend fun workshops while at camp. Sign up for the workshops will be done at Camp Orientation. Two orientation dates have been set - Sunday, June 9 and Sunday, June 29 both starting at 2 p.m. Cost of the camp is $190. Those qualifying for free and reduced meals pricing deduct $34 (this decision will be made by an office assistant based on income guidelines).
  • 4-H Day Camp Registration
    Applications for 4-H day camps are now being accepted. Campers must be 8 years old by the date of the camp attending. All 8 and 9 year olds must have proof of age.      Williston Tae Kwon Do made a return appearance to  the US OPEN ISKA (International Sport Karate Assoc.) International Martial Arts Tournament held July 5-6 at the Coronado Springs Resort in the Disney complex near Kissimmee.
  • WMS shuts out Bradford 38-0
    By Steve Jarboe Contributing Writer If the Williston Middle School football fans were excited last week when the Red Devils shut out the Chiefland Middle School squad 48-0, their excitement continued Thursday night Sept. 27, at Booster Stadium. The entire first half was played in a constant down pour of rain as the teams took the field following a short delay.

    Children in the Williston/Morriston area play football, soccer, and cheerlead each Saturday at the athletic field.  Rodeo events are available at Horseman's Park
