    When you or I hold an expectation for something it tends to fall in one of three basic categories. An expectation can go unfulfilled, it can be met, or an expectation can be exceeded.

    Upon walking into Country Boy Cutz for the first time, it could certainly be said that the environment there well exceeded my expectations.

  • There were days and nights when Linda Buonomo wasn't sure she was going to pull through.

    Her husband had died from a fierce battle with bladder cancer. Her family was in South Florida. She lost the home that she and her husband lived in.

    It was dire times.

    "I was ready to give up on everything," Linda said, from her Bronson apartment last week. "A little rock literally saved my life."

    Registration packets for the Miss Williston pageants are now available in the offices at schools or by emailing Dena Battle at dbattle44@gmail.com.

    The tea and pageant are scheduled for Feb. 2. Girls compete in the following divisions:

    Little Miss – ages 4-6

    Junior Miss – ages 11-13

    Miss Williston – ages 15-18

    Sponsors are also needed. If you are a local business interested in sponsoring the pageants, contact Battle.

    Democratic Party Meeting

    Levy County Democrats will be holding their second organizational meeting Jan. 5 at 2 p.m. in Bronson.

    The purpose of this meeting will be to nominate positions for the Levy County Democratic Executive Committee (D.E.C.) and discuss future plans. Precinct Captains, officers, caucus chairs and club presidents will be nominated.

    The meeting will be held in the home of Robbie Blake, 8250 N.E. 61st Place, Bronson, 32621.

    To accommodate disparate schedules there will be two separate meetings: 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. There is no need to come to both meetings.
