LEO can now stop motorists for texting/driving

By The Staff

Florida’s 2018 legislature passed 200 new laws, many of which were in effect prior to July 1.

However, 100 of those new laws took effect Monday. Among them are:

• Texting and driving – now a primary offense, law enforcement officers can now pull over texting drivers without any other reason.

• Cheaper prescriptions – as long as they are approved by the USDA, less expensive drugs may now be imported from Canada and other countries to Florida.
