Peanut Butter Drive

Levy County Farm Bureau will host its annual Peanut Butter Food Drive March 1-16 from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. at its offices located at 208 NW Main St., Williston or 312 E. Park Ave., Chiefland.

Peanut butter donations will be presented to the First United Methodist Church Food Bank in Williston, Another Way in Chiefland and Tri-County Outreach in Chiefland.

WWII Vets Luncheon

World War II Vets and Proud of It will meet at 11 a.m. March 8 in Chiefland at Bett's Big T.

AARP Meeting

There will be a program on gardening in the area at the AARP Chapter #912 meeting beginning at 9:30 a.m. Monday, March 12 at St Barnabas Episcopal Church Hall, 661 NE 1st Ave., Williston. Coffee and socializing starts the morning and the meeting begins promptly at 10 a.m. The theme this month will be St. Patrick's Day.

WAG Dining for the Dogs

WAG (Williston Animal Group) will host Dining for the Dogs 5-8 p.m. Saturday, March 17 at the Holy Family Catholic Church 17353 NE Highway 27 Alt. Williston.

Tickets are $15 per person in advance or $20 at the door. Dinner includes chicken dinner with salad, veggie, rolls, dessert and two drink tickets.

There will be raffles, door prizes, a silent auction and lots of fun.

You can pick up your tickets by finding your local WAG volunteer, or at Cookie King’s Real Estate Office 308 NW Main St. Williston (352)528-5010 or emailing info@willistonanimalgroup.com.

All proceeds will benefit Williston Animal Group, a 501 c 3 non-profit, animal rescue group, located in Williston, Florida. Any donation to WAG is tax deductible.

FOWL Book Sale

The Friends of the Williston Library will hold its spring book sale Saturday, March 24 between 8:30-11:30 a.m.

There will also be a table of non-book treasures.

Pick Up a Williston Map

The Williston Chamber of Commerce has updated city maps as part of its ongoing effort to assist tourists and newcomers to the eastern part of Levy County.

The maps include updated streets, roads and information for Williston and the surrounding area, including the Highlands and Bronson.

The maps are free and available at the Chamber from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday through Friday at 607 SW 1st Ave. For more information, call 528-5552.

Mobile Food Pantry

The second Thursday of each month there will be a mobile pantry sponsored by From the Heart Ministry at the Masonic Hall in Williston. The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome.

American Legion Bingo

American Legion Post 236 of Bronson is open now for Bingo every Monday at 6 p.m. in the doublewide at 9550 Hwy 27 Alt toward Williston on the right hand side. Handicapped parking is in the rear of the building.

Also, the Auxiliary has reinstated Quarter Bingo every Wednesday from 1-3 p.m.

Square Dance Class/Dance

Clover Squares' dance now begins at 2 p.m. and the class at 4 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 213 W. Noble Ave., Williston.

Admission is free for students from age 10 to 18. A low cost supper will be available after the dance.

Music With Ms. Sarah

Ms. Sarah's Music Program for Pre-Schoolers continues at the Williston Public Library every Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

The library is located at 10 SE 1st St., Williston.

Tri-County Pregnancy Center

Tri-County Pregnancy Center has phased out walk-ins at the Williston center.  Please call for an appointment.  The center is open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

A non-profit organization, Tri-County Pregnancy Center exists to help women who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy with emotional and practical assistance.  All of the services are free.

Lions Club Meeting

The Williston Lions Club meets on the first Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at the clubhouse, 401 SE 6th Ave., Williston.

• Fridays: The Children’s Table is at the Club from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

• Thursdays: Bingo at the Club at 2 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. Bring a new friend or canned goods for free cards.

• Every Friday through Sunday 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Indoor Flea Market/ Thrift Store. Vendors can set up outside for free.

Offering FREE Eyesight Screenings for adults and children over 7.
