Bloodmobile in Town

The bloodmobile will be at First Baptist Church Williston on Sunday, Aug. 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Please come give the gift of life.


Baseball Tryouts

The Orlando Scorpions youth travel baseball program is holding fall tryouts for ages 9 through 12 on Tuesday Aug. 23, 6 to 8 p.m., at Diamond Sports Parks in Archer. The tryout fee is $30.

Lions Club

Amanda Grace will speak to the Williston Lions Club at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23 about the use of essential oils in daily living.

At its regular meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24 Michael Brace of the National Cremation Society will speak on prepaid cremation arrangements.

Dinner is available for $7 at 5:30 p.m., prior to the meeting, and includes an entree with three sides, dessert and a beverage.

Library WWII Vets Luncheon

World War II Vets and Proud of It will meet Sept. 8 at 11 a .m. at Hobo's Restaurant in Trenton.

Elephant Appreciation Days

Two Tails Ranch / All About Elephants, will host its 5th annual Elephant Appreciation Day annual fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 24 and Sunday, Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. both days. 

There will be music, food, animal interactions, guest animals, vendor village, demonstrations, pony rides, camel rides and much more. 

 Gate admission for this event is $10 per person; 2 and under no charge. All proceeds will go directly to the care of the animals.

Fall on the Farm

The 10th Annual Fall on the Farm, a fundraiser to benefit Haven Hospice, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at Rocky Hammock Preserve – the Historical Drummond Farm, located at 311 NE 9th St., Chiefland.

There will be dinner, drinks, live music and a silent auction.
