For over 15 years, Pat Hibbs was a fixture around the Williston Pioneer.

When she moved to Morriston in 1996, she needed something to occupy her time and found a second career as a reporter with the newspaper.

From 1996 until 2010, she covered the Williston City Council and reported faithfully on one of her passions–the Williston Animal Group (WAG).

Hibbs died March 20, 2013 at the age of 70.

She was born, raised and educated in Philadelphia, Pa., graduating from Friends Central School and the University of Pennsylvania.

After 35 years in the Information Technology field she moved to her home in Morriston.

She is survived by her sister, Kathryn H. Schilling and her nephew, Christopher Curtis and his wife, Jeannette.

She is also survived by her long-term dear friends, Carol Gaskill, Daniel Baldwin and Manya Greif and her devoted friend and caregiver, Diane Chandler.

She was deeply involved with the Williston Animal Group.

Donations in her memory may be made to this organization at P.O. Box 752 Williston, FL 32696.
