Love and Remembrance Memorial
The Haven Hospice Love and Remembrance Memorial is open to anyone in the community who has lost a loved one. Attendees are encouraged to bring pictures and mementos of loved ones that can be placed on our Table of Memories. Refreshments will be served. Registration is not required.
The memorial will be held Thursday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. at Haven Hospice Tri-Counties Care Center, 311 N.E. 9th St., Chiefland. Call Haven Hospice at 352-493-2333 for more information.

Friday, Nov. 5

FFA to have pre-game barbecue

The Williston FFA chapter will have a barbecue dinner fundraiser on Friday, Nov. 5, prior to the homecoming football game against Newberry.  The dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Williston High School cafeteria. The dinner is only $8 and you can purchase a ticket from any FFA member or call the Agriculture Department at 352-528-2153.  Walk ins are welcome.

Monday, Nov. 8

Williston Central Christian Academy
Williston Central Christian Academy located at 225 SE  4th Street in Williston will host a monthly meeting Monday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 9

Legacy Timber Tract Tour
A property tour of Johnny Johnson and family will be held Tuesday, Nov. 9 beginning at 9 a.m.
Legacy Timber Tract is a mix of flatwoods, swamps and rains that typify much of the forest land in this region of Florida.
Johnson’s objectives are to produce high quality timber, increase the wildlife habitat for white tailed dee and wild turkey and maintan the aesthetic qualiy of the tract for potenmtil future land uses. Some walking will be required.

Tuesday, Nov. 16

AARP Driver Safety Class
An AARP Driver Safety Class, for those 50 and older, will be held Tuesday, Nov. 16 and Wednesday, Nov. 17 from 1-4 p.m. at Rainbow Lakes Estates Clubhouse, north of Dunnellon.
Cost is $14 per person for all material; AARP member get a discounted rate of $14.

Thursday, Nov. 18

Levy County Fair
 The Levy County Fair Association invites everyone interested in having a great Levy County Fair to come to the regular monthly meeting held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18 at the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church, located at 1045 NE 6th Blvd., Williston.

AARP Tax-Aide Volunteers
AARP Tax Aide is looking for volunteers who help folks in their community with tax preparation. Tax-Aide also needs instructors and computer technicians.

AmVets Post 444, located on Alt-27 just past the BP station on the left side headed toward Bronson, has Bingo every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The games are open to the public.

Senior Singles

Senior singles, 55 and older, who need friendship are encouraged to join a group in Williston that hosts activities and conversation.

Methodist Thrift Store
First United Methodist Church Mission Thrift store is open every Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The store is located at 25 SW 3rd St., Williston.
