  • Ft White dashes home field winning streak

    Red Devils Varsity Baseball went two out of three last week putting an end to their home field winning streak.
    After a convincing win and shutout against Bradford on Tuesday and another big 8-4 win over Dixie County on Thursday night, Ft. White put an end to the Devils’ winning streak with a nail biting 3-0 victory over the mighty Red Devils.

  • Diamond Red Devils boast 4-1 record

    Williston Varsity Baseball moves to 4-1 with another impressive week ending in a 6-1 rout over visiting Interlachen High School last Friday and holds on to a perfect record at home.

    The Red Devils took the field last Friday night against Interlachen for a quickly played six and a half innings that displayed a dominating performance by Williston. 

  • Red Devils take home victory in Santa Fe squeaker

    Williston’s Red Devils started off the diamond season  right last Friday by edging out visiting Santa Fe in a close fought battle 3-2.

    Williston scored first in the bottom of the third with an RBI single by Justin Forsythe which scored Cameron Coffey who reached on an error by Santa Fe’s third first baseman Nate Pelham.

  • Two headed for collegiate gridiron

    David Heinkel and Damien Strange signed their college scholarships on National Signing Day last week before a large crowd of well wishers at the Williston Gym.

    Heinkel will be attending Missouri Southern State University and Strange will be attending Jacksonville University.

    Both young men thanked their parents, coaches, and teachers for all their support which helped lead to their scholarship offers.

  • Red Devils claim Number 2 seed

     With two non-district games left on the Red Devil varsity boys’ schedule, the team ended its regular season district play Saturday night at Santa Fe. 

  • Earl Brown leads Red Devils to district win

     Red Devil Junior Earl Brown helped  lead the Williston Red Devils over district leader Fort White on  Jan. 23, as the improving junior poured in a season high 32 points.

  • Williston Varsity turns back Chiefland

    In a non-district game played on Jan. 25, the Red Devils made the short trip to Chiefland to take on an improving Indian varsity basketball team.

  • Lady Red Devils rally to down Chiefland

    It was all  Lady Indians for the first three quarters of play during last Friday’s game  when the Red Devils traveled to Chiefland. 

  • Lady Red Devils roll past Bears

    It was a bad night for the Dixie County Bears, starting with the JV Bears being a no show, as a quick call to the Bears JV coach, found he couldn’t follow his schedule of the scheduled game against the Red Devil JV team.

  • Red Devils fall to 3-2 in district play

    It was five quick 3-point baskets by the Santa Fe Raiders on Friday night Dec.21, that put the Red Devils in an early hole that they just could not climb out of.

    Santa Fe dropped in five first quarter 3-point baskets to hold onto an early 19-16 lead as the first quarter of the District game came to an end.

    In the second quarter, the 3-point basket failed to fall for the Raiders, as David Heinkel and Damien Strange found the range for the Red Devils as they helped to pull the Red Devils to within one point of the Raiders at half time, 27-26.
