  • Red Devil hoopsters have a hot week

    The Williston Red Devils had a busy week of basketball with mostly positive results.  The Lady Devils played three games and the boys played two games.

  • WHS cagers get own fan base

     

    The young men and ladies who represent Williston on the basketball court now have formal support by way of the newly organized Williston Hoops Club.

    The brainchild of Clay Coleman formed in May of this year and by the time school started, the club had its bylaws and leadership team in place.

  • Red Devils back on the court

    The Red Devils’ basketball season tipped off last week as they traveled to Buccholz High School to take on the hometown Bobcats. Williston started the game off ice cold but the team was able to rally as it staged a furious comeback in the second half.

  • Indians keep Levy Cup as Red Devils go down 34-24

    The Red Devils hit the road last Thursday to take on Chiefland as the two teams played for the coveted Levy Cup. Despite a strong effort by the team’s offense, Williston fell short by a score of 34-24 as Chiefland racked up five touchdowns.

  • Red Devils take their lumps in homecoming game

    The Red Devils were back in action last week as they squared off against Lakeland Christian inside Booster Stadium. The energy in the stands was buzzing with excitement for this year’s homecoming game as prior and current generations got together to support Williston football.

    The game didn’t go as planned on the field as Williston lost 38-7, but the homecoming spirit shone through on what was a special night for the students involved.

  • Lady Indians take down Lady Red Devils 3-1

    The Lady Red Devils hosted their rivals, Chiefland, last week and gave them a great match as both teams played extremely hard. Williston wasn’t able to come on top in this one but the games were competitive and close the whole way. The Lady Red Devils showed incredible resolve -- fighting their way back time and time again.

  • Red Devils claim big first win

    Williston was finally able to get its first win of the season last week as they took on Wildwood High School at home. The stands at Booster Stadium were buzzing with energy as the Red Devils put up touchdown after touchdown en route to a 63-12 victory.

  • Red Devils suffer big loss on the road

    The Red Devils traveled to take on Dixie County School last Friday, in interim head coach, Scott Hall’s first game on the sidelines for Williston. The game didn’t go as planned as Williston lost 37-7, but the Red Devils showed admirable determination and spirit as the game progressed to its conclusion.

  • Lady Red Devils lose tough game

    The Lady Red Devils were on the road last Thursday as they traveled to take on the Chiefland Indians. Williston put together three competitive games but were unable to take home a victory against their rivals.

    The opening match started out sluggishly for Williston as they trailed 16-5 early in the game, but they would soon get their legs under them and play up to their potential.

  • Red Devils fall 14-7 in pre-season Classic

    The Red Devils opened up their 2014-2015 season last Friday night as they were defeated 14-7 in a tight game against the Central High School Bears. The game consisted of just one half of football with no live special teams but was still a spirited contest nonetheless.
