  • Red Devils suffer big loss on the road

    The Red Devils traveled to take on Dixie County School last Friday, in interim head coach, Scott Hall’s first game on the sidelines for Williston. The game didn’t go as planned as Williston lost 37-7, but the Red Devils showed admirable determination and spirit as the game progressed to its conclusion.

  • Lady Red Devils lose tough game

    The Lady Red Devils were on the road last Thursday as they traveled to take on the Chiefland Indians. Williston put together three competitive games but were unable to take home a victory against their rivals.

    The opening match started out sluggishly for Williston as they trailed 16-5 early in the game, but they would soon get their legs under them and play up to their potential.

  • Red Devils fall 14-7 in pre-season Classic

    The Red Devils opened up their 2014-2015 season last Friday night as they were defeated 14-7 in a tight game against the Central High School Bears. The game consisted of just one half of football with no live special teams but was still a spirited contest nonetheless.

  • Season of Discovery

    If Williston Head Football Coach Cliff Lohrey has any apprehension, fear or dread about the 2014 season, he’s not letting it show.

    In his first year as the Red Devils’ gridiron leader, Lohrey is all smiles heading into tomorrow night’s season opener against P.K. Yonge on the opponents’ home field.

  • Jersey Number 3 retired

    “No Williston Red Devil basketball player will ever wear Jersey Number 3 again,” said Red Devil Head Coach Steve Faulkner, as he presented the encased jersey to Mr. and Mrs Danny Floyd.

  • Football? You bet

    It's springtime in Williston, and officially summertime is just six weeks away. Those pleasant daytime temperatures and cool sleeping nights are a thing of the past. The thermometer has started to creep up to 90 degrees plus and the humidity is just around the corner.

    At Williston High School, this means the start of spring football practice.

    The Red Devils have started this 2014 spring practice with a new outlook on the upcoming sessions.

  • On to the regional final

    The Williston Varsity Baseball team crushed the Wildwood Wildcats 15-0 May 6 at the Devils Den.

    Leading 8-0 after three complete innings of play, the Wildcats were held in check by Red Devil pitcher Trent Johnson.

    Emptying their bench in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Red Devils exploded for seven runs on nine base hits to take the commanding 15-0 lead.

    The Red Devils advance to the Regional Championship game to face either Taylor County or Union County.

  • Red Devils win

    The Williston Varsity Baseball team crushed the Wildwood Wildcats on Tuesday, May 6, at the Devils Den 15-0.

    Leading 8-0 after three complete innings of play, the Wildcats were held in check by Red Devil Pitcher Trent Johnson.

    Emptying their bench in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Red Devils exploded for 7 runs on 9 base hits to take the commanding 15-0 lead.

    The Red Devils will play for the Regional Championship Tuesday, May 13, Game time is 7 p.m. 

  • Crescent City outlasts Red Devils

    It was the regional semi-finals and the Red Devils’ season ended to a Crescent City Raider team that seemed to want the win more than the Red Devils. 

  • Lady Indians claim district title

    It was their third meeting of the season with the same results as the Chiefland Lady Indians downed the Williston Lady Red Devils. This time it was for the District Championship.
