Pavilion may be ready by July

Despite a minor setback a couple weeks ago due to a storm water issue, progress continues with the improvements to the pavilion in the middle of Heritage Park.

The early morning sun was still casting a thin line of light along the contours  of the bodies of the eight men and women who had gathered on the small, wind-swept island of Atsena Otie last week.

Courts hand down sentences

 The following people were sentenced in Levy County courts during February:

County upgrading animal shelter

It was a busy day at the Levy County Animal Shelter on Tuesday. Many of the pens held pups, kittens, cats and dogs up for adoption and an animal officer was on his way in from Inglis with nine dogs while a resident walked in with two howling kitties.
