Holiday Hope a success
To the editor:
We at Holiday Hope would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to the many benefactors that enable so many children in our community to have a joyful Christmas.
 First and foremost, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, who has provided us with a facility large enough to store, organize, and distribute Christmas additions to hundreds of local families, our deepest gratitude.

To the citizens of Williston:
On behalf of the city council, we wish to extend our deepest apology to those in attendance at the council meeting on Dec. 6.
It is regretful that those in attendance, especially the friends and parents of the children for Student of the Month and FFA, to have experienced such a quarrelsome display by council members.

To the editor:
Lord of ALL peoples,
I ask your blessing and Council of the Spirit for our elected and appointed local officials and local government employees. My Spirit aches as I hear of and read the communications, official and otherwise, by and among our leaders.
My fear is that passion has turned to poison, concern to contempt, and calls for justice to unjust personal attacks.

The most fertile source of insight is hindsight, and you never know how far you’ve come until you look back on where you’ve been. During the last few years, I’ve had numerous opportunities to look back over my progress, sometimes it’s with humor, sometimes it’s with pride and always with amazement over how I thought issues would turn out and how things really unfolded.
