  • Langworthy hit culminates UF comeback win

    Williston graduate Austin Langworthy culminated a five-run ninth inning for No. 10 Florida with a three-run double last Thursday in Nashville, helping his Gators to a 10-6 come-from-behind win over No. 6 Vanderbilt.

    The hit, which was sliced into the left-field corner, marked Langworthy’s first in 13 at-bats against left-handed pitchers on the season.

  • Veterans Memorial inching toward goal

    A few sizable donations and an influx of people honoring veterans with paver purchases have pushed the fund to erect a Veterans Memorial in Heritage Park closer to its goal.

    "There's been a lot of exposure lately," Ken Schwiebert, chairman of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) told his board Monday night.
