A case of domestic violence took a turn Sept. 1 when Doyle Smith Jr., 42, allegedly brandished a knife against his wife while she sat in the car.

According to the Levy County Sheriff’s Office, the victim told authorities that Smith wanted prescription drugs and when she refused, he hit her. She left the residence and he followed.

The victim said he threatened both her and the property and only left when his son arrived.

The owner of a shed where a woman lived has been charged with grand theft and stolen property.

According to the Levy County Sheriff’s Office, Chad Alexander Cumbo, 25, of NE 75th Place, Bronson, was charged Sept. 3 after a tenant in his shed said she had been unable to retrieve items she left in the shed because Cumbo denied her access.

The victim reported that a surround sound system, a mini refrigerator, jewelry and a window air conditioner valued at $2,150 was missing.

Felix M. Quinones, 50, of Morriston, violation of community control. No bail.

Joaquin M. Mora, 44, of Trenton, felony domestic battery. Bail is $15,000.

Dale Michael Davis, 41, of Chiefland, writ of bodily attachment for non support with cash purge of $500; and writ of bodily attachment for non-support with cash purge of $400.
