On Friday, May 15 the Williston Police Department will sponsor a memorial to honor all law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.
The memorial will take place at the Heritage Park Pavilion at 10 a.m. and the keynote speaker will be State Attorney William “Bill” Cervone.

The first major step in revitalizing Williston's downtown area moved one step closer Tuesday when the city council voted to proceed with the purchase of Block 12.
The property, located behind Main Street and its block of businesses, is about 1.85 acres, contains 19 parcels and is owned by 10 people.

A three-hour standoff ended peacefully after the Marion County Sheriff's Office SWAT Unit was called onto scene, according to a spokesman with the U.S. Marshal's Office.
The Levy County Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests:
•July 18, Keny Alfredo Cano, 24, Cross City, operate motor vehicle W/O valid license. Bond $2,500.
