    Walk To Bethlehem

    Walk To Bethlehem is a narrated interactive journey.

    The free event is located at 4551 SE SR121, Morriston between CR326 and CR464 and is open every evening through Dec. 23 from 7-9 p.m.

    All are welcome to come out and stroll through the Christmas fantasyland, check out the many new displays, see Santa and enjoy refreshments, in addition to joining a caravan on the journey to Bethlehem.

    This annual event is sponsored by Living Water Life Center, Morriston.

  • Red Devils roll in opener

    The Williston boys’ basketball team got off to a sluggish start in Chiefland on offense, as it failed to net a bucket the first few minutes of play in the Nov. 28 meeting.

    But the Red Devils soon got going in a big way, eventually taking a 31-17 lead into halftime on the heels of a Josiah Jones layup at the buzzer.

    WMHS added to its advantage in the second half, securing a 58-36 win in the season opener in the CMHS gym.

  • McCurdys welcome daughter

    Kaley and David McCurdy announce the birth of their daughter, Lydia Jo, born at 10:20 p.m. Nov. 8.

    The baby weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces and was 22 inches long.

    Grandparents are Debbie Andrews, Kelby Andrews, Kathy Gilliam and Brent Zullo.

    Lydia Jo was welcomed home by older brother, Kaden.

    Calling High School Juniors

    Santa Fe College will host a pair of recruiting events geared toward high school juniors in November. The events will be held Thursday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m.– 12:30 p.m. on the Northwest Campus of Santa Fe College, 3000 NW 83rd St., Gainesville.

    Juniors will get to explore a variety of potential degree programs as well as meet with current college students and organizations. This incredibly helpful event will inspire juniors to discover a potential college option, while giving insight into important college preparation steps.
