The Levy County Commission adopted assessments for the coming year that call for property owners to pay the same rate they have for the past two years.
It’s not written anywhere in the city annals, and the council had no way to prepare for it, but Tuesday night they faced it head on and dealt with it.

The Levy County Sheriff's Office reports the following arrests:
•June 25, George Bailey, 38, Chiefland, DWLSR. Bond $500.
The A PLUS College Charity Kickball Tournament, benefiting the A PLUS program (www.apluscollegeprep.net), was held June 6.
A PLUS, a non-profit, helps prepare middle and high school students for college and careers.
