     The School Board of Levy County was granted AdvancED School System Accreditation from the AdvancED Accreditation Commission, the national commission that confers the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) accreditation seal, according to Superintendent Robert Hastings.

    One man was killed and another seriously injured this morning when a tire came off a vehicle traveling on US 41N, went airborne and went over a 6-foot chain link fence where it struck Ivan J. Sandquist, 33, of Williston killing him instantly.

    Williston Police Chief Dennis Strow said the accident occurred a little after 9 a.m. Monday at Absolute Auto Body on NW 10th Avenue.

    James E. Fender, 45, of Williston also sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Shands.
