    The following information was taken from Levy Count Sheriff’s Office arrest reports:

    Oct. 24, Eric Leonard Adams, Inglis, arrested while license suspended. $2,000 bond 

    Oct. 24, Lafaye Nicole Adkins, Williston, arrested for public intoxication and trespassing. $1,500 bond

    Oct. 24, John Edward Blair Jr., Archer, arrested for possession and intent to sell cocaine, possession of marijuana more than 20 grams and driving with a suspended license.  $212,000 bond.

  • Two arrested on drug charges in Raleigh area

    Julian Christopher Howard, 32, and Arnett Clarence Bryant Jr., 30, both of Archer, were arrested in the Raleigh area of Levy County on Thursday by the Levy County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force on drug charges in an investigation that began in February.

    Levy County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force started the investigation with Howard, considered a mid-level drug dealer who is is known to sell crack cocaine, powder cocaine and marijuana.

  • Missing UF student found in Levy County

    A half-buried body found in the woods at the Gulf Hammock Hunting Club Friday afternoon by two area hunters has been confirmed to be that of University of Florida student Christian Aguilar.
    The Gulf Hammock Hunting Club is located off SR 24 between Otter Creek and Cedar Key.
    "The medical examiner positively identified the remains through dental records," said Gainesville Police Department Public Information Officer Ben Tobias Tuesday afternoon.
