  • Levy County Sheriff's reports

    On June 22, Deputy Gary Brewer responded to 119 Mongo St., Bronson, in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon his arrival Linda Thomas, 46, was arrested for domestic aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

    The victim reported to Deputy Brewer that a verbal domestic dispute occurred inside the residence and the victim walked outside. Thomas followed the victim armed with a 12 inch kitchen knife waving the knife in a threatening manner.

  • Williston Police Reports

    The Williston Police Department reports the following arrests:

    Kenneth D. Shelby, 41, of Callahan, was charged with felony grand theft auto and misdemeanor no valid driver's license in addition with refusal to sign a citation after being stopped in Northeast Williston because of suspicious activity. The truck was reported stolen out of Dixie County.

    Javier Soto, 33, of Northeast 113th Court, Williston, was charged with felony operating a vehicle as an habitual traffic offender after being stopped for driving with a headlight out.

  • Levy County sheriff's reports

    The Levy County Sheriff's Office S.W.A.T. was called to Chiefland June 16 following an incident that left a home blasted with gunfire.

    Lloyd Aaron Roosa, 37, of N.W. 90th St., was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest without violence after he allegedly shot up the home of his girlfriend.

    According to the sheriff's office, the girlfriend told officers that Roosa had visited bars in Fanning Springs and upon returning home, retrieved a .22 caliber rifle from the bedroom and shot at her.

  • Williston police reports

    The Williston Police Department announces the following arrests:

    * Scott M. Mohan, 39, of Southeast 200th Avenue, Morriston, was charged with DUI after being stopped on West Noble Avenue after a complaint was received of erratic driving.

    * Sadie M. Harris, 48, of Northeast Fourth Street, Williston, was arrested on a Levy County warrant for petty theft.

    * George Allison Moody, 37, of Northeast Fifth Street, Williston, was charged with domestic battery, a felony, after an altercation with a woman.

    Williston Police Dept. arrests:

    Ashton Lee Beecher, 19, of Northeast Highway 41, Williston, was charged with driving while license suspended or revoked and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped by Officer David Deonarine on Northeast 207th Court.

    In addition, a passenger, Demetrius S. Boykin, 22, of Gainesville, was arrested on a warrant out of Levy County.

  • Williston police reports

    A traffic stop by Williston Police on CR318 led to the arrest of two people, one for driving with a suspended license and the other for possession of cocaine.

    On May 17, Cpl. Kevin B. Sheppard stopped a vehicle for having an expired tag. The driver, Brandy April Nutt, 26, of Keystone Heights, was found to have her license suspended five times for failure to pay traffic fines, and was arrested.

    On May 23, the Levy County Sheriff's Office and the United States Marshals Service arrested Jeffrey Wayne Rinehart, 60, for violation of probation- sexually molesting a child and failure to register as a sexual offender.
