Williston Police on Tuesday arrested two area teens for the attempted burglary of a residence in the 100 block of Northeast Third Avenue.

A neighbor saw two suspicious subjects by the back door of a house at 9:25 a.m. The resident was not at home. The suspects saw the neighbor and fled on foot with the neighbor in pursuit.

The suspects split up, but were later located by officers Bond and Morris at a residence on Northeast 10th Street they have been called to before.

Arrested were Chauncee Myers of Southeast 10th Street and Sydney Frasier Jr. of Williston.

The Levy County Sheriff's Office has announced the following arrests:

Matt Wilson, 44, of Oak Avenue Bronson, and Marty Wilson, 42, of the same address, were charged with dealing in stolen property and grand theft auto after officials recovered a travel trailer that had been stolen from Bronson.

Bond was set at $25,000 each.

Stephanie Fawn Rizer, 34, of Old Town, whose occupation was listed as a corrections officer, was charged with driving while license suspended or revoked and violation of restriction after she was stopped in Bronson. Bond was set at $1,000.

Crime is up in Levy County, statistics show, but not in the city of Williston.

Uniform crime statistics released by the Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement on Tuesday showed that the crime rate in Williston dropped 15.2 percent in the first six months of 2008. In Levy County, that same statistic climbed 42.5 percent.

According to Williston Police Chief Dan Davis, the Levy figure was the third highest increase in the state.
