    July 28, Eric Leonard Adams, 38, Inglis, two counts battery.

    July 22, Jamie Chez Ayotte, 45, Cedar Key, disorderly conduct.

    July 22, Thomas Barr, 38, Chiefland, possession of marijuana. Bond $5,000.

    July 28, Roger Paul Brown, 52, Morriston, DWLS, possession of drug equipment. Bond $40,000.

  • Courts dole out sentences

    The following people were sentenced in Levy County courts during May and June:

    Kimberly Ann Alderman, aggravated negligent manslaughter of child changed to child neglect, 5 years probation. Must pay probation cost. 

    Jesse Carroll Baggett, larceny between $300-$5,000 and dealing in stolen property, nolle pros; larceny between $300-$5,000, adjudication withheld 24 months probation. Can do community service for costs. Must pay probation cost.

    July 18, Marrin Maurice Baker, 30, Williston, non support of children or spouse. Bond $1,000.

    July 19, Isreal Lee Brown, 31, Williston, non support of children or spouse. Bond $1,000.

    July 16, Jessica Ann Carver, 33, Williston, two counts fraud.

    July 18, Nikki Marie Compher, 28, Williston, battery.

  • David Moss Memorial is July 30

    The annual David Moss Memorial  will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30 at the Williston Police Department.
    This years marks the 25th anniversary of Moss’ death and the Williston Police Department extends an invitation to all persons who wish to attend.
    This event has been scheduled for this date because it is the anniversary of his death.
    In the future, the police department will incorporate his memorial into the National Police Memorial held annually May 15.

  • Levy courts hand down sentences

    The following people were sentenced in Levy County courts during April:
    Joshua Thomas Barnes, motion for early termination of probation on larceny between $300-$5,000, granted.
    Ainslie N. Barrett, VOP on 2 counts of fraud by uttering, probation revoked, adjudication withheld, 90 days with credit for 19 days served on each. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund, VOP cost.
    James Aaron Beck, possessing marijuana with intent to sell and unlawful use of 2-way communication device, nolle pros; selling marijuana, 2 years probation. Must pay cost of probation.
