    The Levy County Sheriff reports the following arrests:
    Aug. 11, Terry Lee Anthony, 28, Satsuma, four out of county warrants.
    Aug. 10, Rebecca Ann Blackerby, 24, Chiefland, VOP, DWLSR, habitual. Bond $500.
    Aug. 9, Joseph Ray Blanco, 21, six out of county warrants. Bond $9,000.
    Aug. 10, Charles Rowland Bray, 54, Inglis, burglary of property not structure. Bond $1,000.
    Aug. 10. Christina Brock, 30, Yankeetown, out of county warrant. Bond $513,

    The Levy County Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests:
    Aug. 1, Tina Marie Aldridge, 45, Williston, grand theft, petit theft. Bond $25,000.
    Aug. 7, Stephanie Reannon Ayers, 32, Williston, DWLS. Bond $2,500.
    Aug. 2, Kelly Michael Bachmeier, 43, New Port Richey, DUI, operating motor vehicle no DL, two counts obstruction W/OV. Bond $20,000.
    Aug. 7, Bryan Keith Baker, 47, Williston, possession of cocaine.
    Aug. 3, Marlena Annette Batey, 25, Bronson, possession of cocaine, DWLSR. Bond $1,000.

  • Courts hand down May, June sentences

    The following people were sentenced in Levy County courts during May and June:

    Kimberly Carol Allen, larceny by theft between $300 and $5,000, 1 year 7 days with credit for 40 days served. Must pay civil judgment and jail fund.

    Deana M. Anderson, VOP on forgery by altering public record, passing a forged instrument and larceny by theft between $300 and $5,000, probation revoked, 15 months with credit for 211 days on each, served concurrently. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund and violation costs.

    The Levy County Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests:

    July 31, Martin Olivas Acosta, 47, Morriston, two counts FTA. Bond $1,250.

    July 28, Thomas Barr, 36, Chiefland, DWLS. Bond $1,000.

    July 26, Jerald Samuels Billups, 35, Inglis, structure or conveyance. Bond $1,000.

    July 26, John Thomas Brooks, 29, Williston, over $200. Bond $500.

  • Sentences handed down in Levy County courts

    The follow people were sentenced in Levy County courts during April.

    Lorenzo Sims, possession of cocaine, 120 days with credit for 120 days served and 30 months drug offender probation. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund and costs.

    Shon David Smith, two counts of burglary and two counts of larceny by theft between $300 and $5,000, 270 days with credit for 91 days served and 4 years probation on each, served concurrently; two counts of property damage, nolle pros. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund and $400 restitution.

    The Levy County Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests:

    July 20, Terry Lee Arnold, 38, Inglis, DWLSR. Bond $1,000.

    July 28, Debbie Lynn Barfield, 57, Williston, DWLSR. Bond $1,000.

    July 22, Rebecca Ann Blackerby, 24, Bronson, DWLSR. Bond $500.

    July 23, Carl Thomas Butler, 38, Old Town, driving on permanently revoked driver’s license, out of county warrant. Bond $3,350.

    July 18, Julio Callazo, 31, Inglis, domestic battery by strangulation. Bond $50,000.

  • Sentences handed down

    The following people were sentenced in Levy County courts during March and April.
    Reginald Vintrell Adams, possession of synthetic narcotic with intent to sell changed to sale of synthetic narcotic, and sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of church or school, changed to possession of cocaine, 36 months with credit for 100 days on each, served concurrently. Must pay civil judgment and jail fund.

  • Levy County Sheriff's Report

    The Levy County Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests:
    July 14, James Gordon Ballengee, 46, Chiefland, failure to remit sales tax, refusal to pay or file return. Bond $5,000.
    July 15, William Douglas Birchfield, 54, Williston, possession of ammo by a convicted Florida felon. Bond $75,000.
    July 13, Terry Leon Byrd, 48, Immokalee, DWLSR. Bond $500.
    July 11, Peter Clark, 29, Gainesville, home invasion with firearm, no firearm or weapon, aggravated battery, grand theft, introduce into detention facility. Bond $425,000.

  • Holiday weekend nets 90 arrests

    Col. David Brierton, director of the Florida Highway Patrol, today announced the preliminary results from the Patrol’s Independence Day holiday enforcement effort.  During the four-day heightened enforcement period, FHP increased the number of troopers patrolling Florida’s roadways. Auxiliary troopers augmented FHP’s force. 

  • Gunman gets lighter sentence in home invasion

    The last man to be sentenced in the armed home invasion of a residence outside Williston in February was given a total of 10 years time as arranged with the state attorney’s office.

    Hillary Henderson, 20, of Chiefland, who pleaded to a charge of armed home invasion and being a convicted felon in possession of a gun, was given seven years in prison on the first charge to be served after serving a minimum 3 years on the gun charge.
