    The Levy County Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests:
    Dec. 31, Jonathan Maurice Allen, 23, Chiefland, aggravated battery, methamphetamine possession, drug equipment possession. Bond $85,000.
    Jan. 1, Krystal Lynn Boyle, 29, Chiefland, two counts battery, obstruction w/o violence. Bond $45,000.
    Dec. 26, Charles Rowland Bray, 54, Inglis, obstruction w/o violence, disorderly intoxication in public place causing disturbance. Bond $12,500.
    Dec. 28, Christopher Lee Brunelle, 20, Williston, VOP.

  • Two-hour standoff ends peaceably Dec. 24

    A Williston man who told deputies he was distraught because he didn’t have a job, money or food, barricaded himself in his home Christmas Eve.
    The man was armed with a pump .22 rifle, according to the sheriff’s report.
    After a two-hour stand off, deputies were able to negotiate him out of the residence.  The man was Baker-acted and transported to Gainesville to the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), which helps patients with mental health issues.

    Dec. 24, Tami Lynn Cox, 38, Williston, battery.
    Dec. 25, Christopher Lee Glisson, 37, Chiefland, two counts assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.
    Dec. 22, Amanda Nichole Lee, 28, Old Town, petit theft. Bond $500.

    Dec. 16–James Macolm Bonner, 43, Reddick, FTA, four counts obtaining goods/services. Bond $20,000.

  • Man takes gamble to hide in Internet Café

    A Williston man is in police custody following a search that gave chase to a Main Street business last Friday.
    Around 11:30 a.m. dispatchers were alerted of a possible domestic battery and Cpl. Fred Morris was dispatched to the scene.
    Morris found the victim with a broken nose allegedly caused by her ex-boyfriend. The victim said the perpetrator, Carlos D. Conseco, 24, repeatedly punched her and took her wallet.

  • Williston man charged with sexual battery

    A 22-year-old is in custody for sexual battery of a child, according to a Citrus County Sheriff’s Office report.

    Jefferey Alan Puskaric Jr., of 13817 NE 54th Place, Williston, was charged Tuesday with felony sexual battery on a 7-year-old girl.
