    • May 5, Jeremiah Mitchell Branch, 32, Old Town, DWLSR, FTA. Bond $10,000.

    • May 5, Keegan Campbell, 24, Gainesville, DWLS.

    • May 7, Shelby Cooper, 19, Beverly Hills, disorderly intoxication. Bond $500.

  • Chiefland meth lab busted

     

    Staff Report

    Levy County Sheriff’s deputies investigating vehicle burglaries came across an active meth lab in Chiefland and arrested two people operating the business on Sunday, according to a Sheriff’s Office press release.

    • April 27, Klaytin Ezrha Adams, 34, Chiefland, two counts possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver, listed chemical for manufacturing controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, keeping a shop for drugs.

  • Jury finds for Citizen in Andrews’ suit

       A Levy County jury has unanimously decided the Chiefland Citizen did not damage Andy Dennis Andrews’ name, reputation and businesses in a 2007 editorial calling for fair, clean city elections, and a series of stories about a state investigation into 11 voters’ right to vote in Chiefland elections.

  • Williston pawnbroker arrested

     

    A Williston pawnbroker was charged last week with dealing in stolen property after an investigation into a residential burglary led back to his place of business.

    Daniel Thomas Moll, 54, of Chiefland was arrested last week following a three-week investigation.
