  • Chamber holds installation banquet

    The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce installed its officers and directors last Friday in a ceremony held at Williston Crossings RV Resort's new clubhouse.

    Justin Head took over as president for Steve McMillen, while Earl Ogle is Vice President, Christie Eveland is treasurer and Jim Smith is secretary.

    Other directors are Lloyd Goodnow, Kim McLane, Jackie Price, Cathy Robinson and Jill Tinney.

  • Weeks is board choice for EZDA

    Members of the Levy County Enterprise Zone Development Agency (EZDA) Board of Directors voted 5-0 on Jan. 9 to recommend Berlon Weeks be appointed to the board.

    The Levy County Board of County Commissioners is scheduled to hear the recommendation on Jan. 22.

    If the commission accepts the recommendation, then Weeks will fill the remaing term of Robert Lowyns who resigned.

  • Kindness Pet Clinic opens

    Dr. Ronald Spink has opened a new clinic dedicated to the high quality care of companion pets. The Kindness Pet Clinic is located one-half mile southeast of Williston on U.S. Highway 27 between Photofrost and Boyd's Construction.

    Dr. Spink has more than 40 years of experience with 25 years in South Florida where he owned five animal hospitals.

  • Williston business owner watches EZDA meeting

    A Williston business owner watched the Jan. 9 meeting of the Enterprise Zone Development Agency because she wanted to learn about benefits from building in the zone.

    Cindy Babione has been working with her husband Jeff for the past two years to create Babione's Business Park, she said. They hope to break ground in February, she added.

  • Chamber to hold banquet

    The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce will be having its annual installation of officers banquet at Williston Crossings RV Resort on Friday, Jan. 25.

    Admission is $25 per person, which includes dinner. Corporate sponsorship tables are available for $500.

    Drawing for the Super $5,000 winner will take place that evening.
