Hunting can be hard. I have witnessed this many times. These last three days were another example. Each day started at four o’clock in the morning and we arrived back home at about ten each night. Most nights we got to bed at about midnight. I’m tired. 

Holy Family Catholic Church will have a fall carnival on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 Save by purchasing your tickets in advance Oct. 20 to 22 in the church office at four tickets for $1. Call 352-528-2893.  

Holy Family Catholic Church will hold a fish fry at the Parish Hall, located three miles north of the town of Williston on Hwy 27A, Friday, Oct. 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. 

Fish, french fries, hushpuppies, drinks, dessert and your choice of two sides of baked beans, coleslaw, or grits will be served. 

 Costs are: adults $7, senior citizen meal (slightly smaller portion) $6 and children $4 (under 12). Take out orders welcome.   

The new Center Vedic Studies is now open in Williston. The center is part of a worldwide organization called the International Society for Krishna Consciousness founded in 1966 by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupads.

In 12 years after he arrived in New York at the age of 68, he established 200 centers, farm, communities, temples, schools and universities throughout the world.
