    Lions Club Spaghetti Dinner

    A spaghetti dinner will be held Friday, July 24 beginning at 6 p.m. at the clubhouse.

    For $6, diners will get spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and a drink.

    You may eat-in or carryout.

    Would your canine friends like a swimming lesson, or an opportunity to run a lure course? Do you just want someone else to wash your dog for a change?

    Tourist Council

    The Levy County Tourist Development Council will meet to review grant program applications on Thursday, June 25 at 6 p.m. at the Levy County Agricultural Office Building, 620 N Hathaway Ave., Bronson.

    The meeting is open to the public.

    WAG Annual Meeting

    The Williston Animal group (WAG) will hold its annual membership meeting and election of officers and directors on Saturday, June 27 at 9:30 a.m. in the Williston Fire Hall. Changes to the bylaws will be discussed and voted on.

    AARPee^Summer Activities

    AARP Chapter 912 announces its “just for fun” summer schedule. They will have a booth at Williston’s Independence Day Celebration at Horseman’s Park, Friday, July 3. There will be two raffles-one for a set of ladies’ golf clubs with bag and one for ladies’ size 7 golf shoes. Raffle tickets are $1/each or $5/6 and may be purchased at our booth or from Mignon Craig, 528-3323. The drawing will be on Sunday, July 5 and the winners will be notified by phone.

    Come join the Bronson Friends of the Library for the best reading this summer.

    The Book Fair will be held Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at the old Bronson Town Hall.

    Blood Drive

    Every day LifeSouth Community Blood Centers needs over 1,000 units of blood for the hospitals we serve. This summer, bring paradise to those in need and get a chance at your own tropical getaway by donating blood during the Donors in Paradise summer drive on Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13.

    The blood drive will be held at city hall in Williston on Friday between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday, June 13 between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

    Hearing Impairedee^Picnic

    All deaf/hearing impaired and their family members are invited to a picnic on Saturday, June 6 at the Bronson First Baptist Church located in Bronson. Friends and sign language students are welcome, too. This event will be from 4-7 p.m. You must be on time to enter the door prize drawing. Please bring a covered food dish to share.

    The North Central Florida Long-Term Care Ombudsman Council will hold its monthly meeting Thursday, May 21 at Haven Hospice of North Central Florida, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville.

    The meeting will commence with an open session at 12:30 p.m. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.

    T.MC. Healthcare of Williston will hold a pap smear clinic on Thursday, May 14, from 1-4 p.m.

    No appointment is necessary. This service will be provided to all women with a charge of only $5. This fee includes the office visit and the laboratory billing.

    Lions Club

    to meet tonight

    The Williston Lions Club would like to invite those interested to attend its first meeting. A representative from the Lions Foundation will be at the Williston Club House with the intention to revive the Williston Club. There will be no pressure at this meeting to join. The club wants members of the community to know what the Lions Club is all about and introduce the great benefits. The Lions International and Lions Foundation of Florida have many programs that benefit any community were a club is active.

    The Tri-County Foster/Adoptive Parents Association will hold its first yard sale on Saturday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. behind the First Baptist Church of Bronson, 460 S. Court St., Bronson.

    This is a non-profit organization and all proceeds will go to help foster/adoptive children in the Tri-County area.
