    Bull Bash
    Bull Bash 2012 will be held April 27 and April 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Carter's Arena, outside Chiefland at the crossroads of Hwys. 347 and 345.
    Advance tickets are available at Chiefland Farm Supply, Carter's Crossroad and Klover Leaf in Williston.
    Bull Bash is a fund-raiser sponsored by Chiefland Farm Supply and Chiefland FFA Alumni.

    Dudley Farm
    Dudley Farm Historic State Park will present Star Gazing Saturday, March 24.
    The Alachua County Astronomy Club, with their high powered telescopes, will assist and direct viewing, explain the planets, nebulas, constellations and clusters.  
    Parking begins at 7 p.m.  Viewing is from 8 - 11 p.m. 
    Admission is $5 per adult.

    Friday, Feb. 3

    Black History Celebration
    The Sircle Inc. will present the 10th annual Black History Month Celebration Friday, Feb. 3 at 7 p.m.
     The banquet will be at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Ocala Conference Center located at 3600 SW 38th Avenue Ocala.
    The keynote speaker will be educator, author and B-school professor Dr. Dennis Kimbro. Music will be provided by The ADF Jazz Trio, promoted by Mary O’Banyoun-Abdullah.

    Walk for Life
    The 12th Annual Walk For Life will be held  Saturday, Oct. 15.  Registration is at 8:30 a.m. and the Walk will begin at 9 a.m. 
     This year  a free breakfast is included for  all pre-registered walkers.  For those that cannot join the walk, sponsoring a walker is a great way to show your support of life.

    Schools Foundation Beast Feast
    The Levy County Schools Foundation will be hosting its 2nd Annual Beast Feast Oct. 8 at the Black Prong Equestrian Center on CR 337, Bronson. 
    Dinner will begin being served at 5:30 p.m.  An interesting selection of specialties like gator tail, possum ribs, and venison along with some good old fashioned southern classics like mullet, grits, and swamp cabbage will be served.

    Benefit Poker Run
    AMVETS Post 444 will host a Benefit Poker Run Saturday, Oct. 1 for Justin Fairbanks.
    Register at the post at 10 a.m. and kickstands go up at 11 a.m.
    The route includes stops at Sunray’s, Willards, McKenzie’s 4 Corners, AMVETS Post 422 Chiefland, AMVETS Post 88 Bronson and ends back at Post 444. Cost is $10 per hand at registration.
    There will be a 50/50 drawing and raffles throughout the day.
