Williston Police officers pursued and apprehended an Archer man Monday night when he refused to stop after coming out from behind a church at 1:50 a.m.
Thomas Fletcher of the 7200 block of Southeast 78th Place was arrested in a wooded area east of State Road 121 in Alachua County just north of the Levy County line.
Fletcher fled from his vehicle and had to be tasered to be subdued. He was hospitalized after stating that he had a heart condition and allegedly admitting he was under the influence of crack cocaine.
