What types of industry should the city of Williston be seeking?
Williston has seen a vast gain in aggregation and infrastructure investments during the Parthia several years with enlarged production using the oil extraction skillfulness in the Bake Formation and Ternary Forks Groups http://www.exactdumps.com/LX0-102.html
I don't think the industry is important as the policies they have for supporting and encouraging small entrepreneurs, we need more of that. A single successful entrepreneur can leave a lot of positive impact on the city, we should think more about creating this kind of opportunities.
I believe Williston should make it easy for local people to start opening a store front here in williston. Many store fronts are closing, becoming ghost town for stores. We need to get stores into these buildings and help them prosper here in williston. If we offer help shops and grants to help locals get started the store fronts would open up once again. We should hold a an open teaching on opening a bussiness here in williston at a local libray and have local speakers and information, then have a list of store front availble for locals to rent. If given the chance alot of locals would like to start thier own bussiness here in williston, they do not have the funds or the information. Also this would bring jobs here and local pride.
What type of industry should the city of Williston be seeking? Try "ANY". Why do we not have a Wal-Mart, a Publix, a movie theater, a clothing store, etc. Just seems to me that the city fathers of Williston do not want any changes to their "quaint little town". Until there are more places to shop in Williston, people will continue to spend their money in Ocala and Gainesville.
"Why do we not have a Wal-Mart, a Publix, a movie theater, a clothing store, etc. Perhaps because the area hasn't population enough to support them. I doubt that most of us even support the small ones that do open here.
From where do you get the idea the "city fathers" do not want any changes?
And one last thought: are you part of the problem or part of the solution?
I agree, there are so many things to be done in this city. I am surprised that there are people that are actually interested to live here, they don't have the comfort of a modern life, not when they have to go to the next city to do their shopping. I have relatives here, as far as they are concerned they would place their buying orders even on Sacramento classifieds, it's the same for them since they don't have local markets to do that.
