Williston graduate and Florida freshman Austin Langworthy introduced himself to big-time college baseball in style this past weekend.
The starting left fielder and relief pitcher went 4 for 9 (.444 average) in a three-game sweep of William & Mary in McKethan Stadium in Gainesville. He capped the opening weekend with a 3-for-4 performance on Sunday that included a home run and a ground-rule double. The left-hander also fanned a pair of Tribe batters and allowed three hits in 2 ⅔ innings on the mound.
