Williston FFA members earn American Farmer degrees

-A A +A

The National FFA Organization hosted over 62,000 members, advisors, alumni and guests this year at the 86th annual FFA National Convention and several of Williston’s own were in attendance.  The convention was held at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville last week.

The Williston Senior Chapter Nursery Landscape team competed in the national competition.  Team members Chloe Young, Quincy Cason, Jace Colina, and Travis Bergdoll underwent rigorous rounds during two days of testing and judging.

All team members earned gold citations and the team placed 10th in the nation.

Also attending the convention were Michael Holder, Kaley Wilder, Stephanie King and Ashley Bowling.  They received their American Farmer Degrees.  This is the highest degree that is awarded FFA members and only 1 percent of FFA members  attain this prestigious award.

Attending from the middle school chapter were Carly Vinning, Jerry Mills, and   Lindsey Wilder.  They bring back inspiration and determination to fuel achievement in this great organization showcasing Agriculture Education.
