Walk to Bethlehem continues

-A A +A

Event concludes on Dec. 23

By Elli Rarick

The journey is long for Mary and Joseph but each evening between 7 and 9 p.m. caravans leave Nazareth and give visitors the opportunity to join them in the interactive narrative led by Callie Fields all the way to Bethlehem where the Baby Jesus was born in a manger in a stable.

Come join the cast and workers from sponsoring church Living Water Life Center of Morriston and volunteers from other area churches as they welcome and invite visitors to take this historic journey. Located at 4551 S.E. St. Rd. 121 (between CR 326 and CR 464) visitors can enjoy the beautiful lighting display; stroll down Fantasy Lane; visit tents filled with angels, Nativities, McDonald's collectibles, a salute to our military and then join conductor Robert Potter for a nostalgic ride through the many train villages. There are also sleigh rides, Santa and Mrs. Claus, games for the children and holiday movies. "Dasher's Diner", operated by Jacquie Potter and some of Santa's elves, will be serving up popcorn and something hot to drink. A drawing will also be held each evening.

There is no charge for anything; however, donations are accepted and will be used for families in need in Morriston and the surrounding area. Don't miss out on this extraordinary Levy County event, now in its fourth year. For information call 352-528-9070.
