Church yard sale
The Gospel Barn Church, 7351 S.E. 196th Ave., Morriston, (Small Farms Road) is having a large church yard sale on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2-3-4.
Willard's Restaurant and Lounge in Morriston presents "Howl'n at the Moon" party on Oct. 3, 4 and 5 for the benefit of the Morriston Volunteer Fire Dept.
There will be live music from Thicker Than Water, Local Traffic and Willie and the Po Boys. There will be a bake sale and yard sale hosted by Nature Coast Abate, and a Friday night costume contest.
There will be trike games assisted by members of Nature Coast Trikers, and bike games assisted by members of Nature Coast Abate.
Vendors are welcome, with free setup. There will be a swap shop, and free primitive camping with a community campfire.
Willard's is located at 3490 S.E. CR 337, one block south of Highway 326.

Band to hold car
wash, flea market
The Williston High School Band fund-raiser, a car wash/flea market, will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, in the high school parking lot from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This is an annual fund-raiser for the band.
Joyce Bullock Elementary School will have a huge yard sale at Subway on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations would be greatly appreciated.
Proceeds will benefit the teachers.

Walk for Life
The Tri-County Pregnancy Center will hold its ninth annual Walk for Life on Saturday, Oct. 4, with registration at 8:30 a.m. and the walk at 9 a.m. For those who cannot walk, sponsoring a walker is a great way to show your support of life.
The Center, located at 426 W. Noble Ave., across from the high school, is a not-for-profit ministry that helps families in the area with practical needs in crisis situations.

On Thursday, Oct. 9, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 236 will meet at 7 p.m. at the Post Home.
You are invited to join us in the Alpha course which begins Thursday, October 9th at 7:00PM. Alpha is a short, practical introduction to the Christian faith. First Baptist church of Williston will celebrate 150 years with Homecoming Weekend Oct. 10-12.
Dr. John Sullivan, executive director treasurer of the Florida Baptist Convention, will be the featured preacher for all three services.
Friday's service, "A Time for Remembering," will begin at 7 p.m.
Saturday's service, "A Time for Renewing," will begin at 6 p.m.
Sunday's service, "A Time for Rejoicing," will begin at 10 a.m.
The singing treeman, Rob Langston of Chiefland, will be the guest soloist in the Sunday morning service and will provide a gospel music concert following the covered dish luncheon. There will be special music in each of the services.

Fish fry Oct. 10
at Holy Family
A fish fry will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Alt. U.S. 27, Williston, on Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. The adult price is $7 and the child's price is $4. Takeouts are available. This fund-raiser helps people in the community with their financial problems.
There are door prizes of a free ticket to the following fish fry and a drawing for an individual winner with a small gift in appreciation of attending this dinner.
