Rotary votes to move meetings to noon
The Rotary Club of Williston conducted a poll of its members last Tuesday morning at a rescheduled General Assembly meeting. The resulting majority vote was to change the time of day the Rotary Club met from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
The members thought this would increase attendance rates and allow other member-candidates in the community the opportunity to join the club. Eligible members live or work in the Williston club's membership area and are sponsored by existing Rotary members. The club membership area is in Levy County east of and including Bronson and south to Morriston/Montbrook to the Marion County line.
Other business recently conducted:
* Kim McLane has been approved for membership;
* Todd Etheridge was voted in to take over as Treasurer effective immediately, his second term; and,
* David Paul was voted in as the new President-Elect for 2008-2009
The regular meetings for the rest of the year have been cancelled due to the holidays. The next regular meeting will be January 8th at Noon at the Williston Chamber of Commerce building.
