Gospel Barn

to hold revival

The Gospel Barn Church, 7351 S.E. 196th Ave., Morriston, is having a three-night revival with the Rev. Harry Atkins, concluding tonight and Friday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m.

Woman's Club

to hold luncheon

and fashion show

On Friday and Saturday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, the GFWC Williston Woman's Club will be holding a Fall Luncheon and Fashion Show at the Club House on State Road 121. Lunch will be prepared by the members and served at 11 a.m. and the Fashion Show (featuring all local talent) will follow.

A full line of fashions and accessories will be available for purchase both days. All proceeds from the luncheon and the sale of fashions will benefit Heifer International, an organization dedicated to ending hunger in this country and abroad.

Trunk or Treat

in Bronson Friday

On Friday, Oct. 31, at 6 p.m., the Bronson Church of God will host a Trunk or Treat event. This event will give children of all ages an opportunity to collect candy and prizes out of decorated vehicle trunks. There will also be hot dogs and hot chocolate available. Come out and vote for your favorite trunk.

Hiers dedication

is Nov. 1

A Confederate Memorial and Dedication Service in honor of George Adam Hiers will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m. in the Ebenezer Cemetery with lunch to follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church's fellowship hall. Bring a covered dish and a chair for the services.

The church/cemetery is located on Northeast 30th Avenue, about two miles east of County Road 339 between Bronson and Trenton.

The Hiers family are pioneers in Levy County. George Adam Hiers served in the Seminole War of 1856.

Turkey shoot

to be Saturday

The Levy County 4-H Shooting Sports will be holding a Turkey Shoot fund-raiser on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m. at the Levy County Extension Office/ 4-H pavilion in Bronson (next to Bronson Lube). The cost is$3 shot 12-gauge shotgun.

Food and drinks will be available to purchase.

hosts Goodlett

The Cedar Keyhole Gallery announces that Robert Goodlett is the artist of the month for November.

Art lovers with a keen interest in unique Florida scenes will have a special treat. Local artist Goodlett will present a comprehensive collection of his latest nature paintings at Cedar Key. His intense connection to natural Florida and his impeccable attention to detail have made his work highly sought after. In response to numerous requests, he has recently introduced a limited release of prints to also be available.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Cedar Keyhole, located on 2nd Street across from the library in Cedar Key, also maintains a display of many other works by over 20 contributors to its artists' cooperative. These works include paintings (oils, acrylics, pastels and watercolors), metal works, stained glass, jewelry, fiber arts, leatherwork, pottery and woodworking among others.

Gospel Jamboree

set in Dunnellon

Mark your calendars for a foot stomping, hand clapping, praising the Lord good time at the inaugural Southern Gospel Jamboree to benefit Dunnellon Christian Academy on Nov. 6, 7, and 8. The Jamboree will be held at the Withlacoochee Bluegrass Festival Grounds with full hook-up camping available for $15 nightly.

Featured southern gospel artists include The Mast Brothers, Journeymen, The Swanson Family, River Jordan, The Brady's, The Roarks, and Vocal Edition. Food and drinks will be available on site. Advance tickets are only $21 for all three nights or $10 for a single night. Tickets may also be purchased at the gate for $25 for all three nights or $15 for a single night. Horse Whisperer

to visit Nov. 6

Horse Whisperer Paul Daily of Wild Horse Ministries will be at the Williston Horseman's Park on Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. This event is sponsored by Cross Brand Cowboy Church. FFA to hold

Nov. 7 barbecue

Williston's FFA chapter is sponsoring a homecoming meal of a barbecued pork dinner, on Friday, Nov. 7, in the high school cafeteria from 5-7 p.m.

Cost of the dinner is $8.

The homecoming football game will follow at 7:30.

Motorcycle ride

to benefit WES

Cruizin' for Kidz, a motorcycle ride to benefit the Williston Elementary School Safety Patrol, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8. Registration is from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Kickstands up at 10 a.m.

The ride starts at Williston Elementary School. It's free to ride, but donations are accepted. All proceeds benefit the WES Safety Patrol to help with the trip to Washington D.C. next June.

All riders are encouraged to join together for lunch at the end of the ride at a cost of $7. 50/50 and other prize drawings will take place at lunch.

Charity auction set

at Equestrian Center

Tomorrow's Equestrian Center will hold its third annual charity auction and chicken dinner fund-raiser Nov. 8 at Southern Auction Marketing Services on Alt. Highway 27 in Williston. Preview of live auction items will start at 4 p.m. Live auction will start at 6:30 p.m. Silent auction items will be available from 4 p.m until 7 p.m

Barbecued chicken dinners will be sold for $5 starting at 4 p.m. The program offers an opportunity for disabled individuals to experience the benefits of horseback riding. For more information or to donate items please call 528-3445.

Victory Museum

to be open Nov. 11

The U.S. Victory Museum is located within the historic 1890 Archer City Hall and houses memorabilia from World War I, World War II, and the Korean War, along with other historic artifacts. It is dedicated to the sailors, soldiers and airmen who served and defended our country.

The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 11, Veterans Day, and Dec. 7, Pearl Harbor Day.

Bone density tests

set for Nov. 13
