A look at the Williston Fire Department's rickety grill during April's Relay for Life caused PuroClean's Kim McLane a moment of pause. But just a moment, because she, along with her boss and company owner, Joseph Crane jumped into action to secure a new grill for the deparment.

"They're volunteers," she said of the firefighters who have made the station their home away from home, "and we just needed to do something for them."

Monday, McLane and Crane presented the station with a new gas/charcoal grill, courtesy of Custom Sage, Levy Insurance Agency, Regional General Hospital, Williston Ace Hardware, Harriett Downs Real Estate, Grocery Depot, the Matt Brooks Family and PuroClean.

Breakfast was served to those on call and in attendance thanks to Derrick Wise Accounting. The morning was capped off when Fire Chief Lamar Stegall was presented a gift card from Grocery Depot to purchase supplies so his firefighters can try out their new grill.

"It's all about the community supporting those who are there for us in our time of need," McLane said.
