The Williston High School baseball team celebrated its season May 31 at First Baptist Church of Williston.

This team will forever be known as the 2014 Class 1A State Champions, but this year’s baseball banquet was about what these young men did for the entire Williston community in bringing home the trophy to the entire community.

The special quest speaker was Jason Cason, a former Red Devil Baseball player.

Awards were given out to the JV players who completed their season at 10-2. The JV Coach Trent Viau passed out the awards to his players that were present.

Head Varsity Coach Scott Hall took the podium to introduce the 2014 Class 1A State Champion Red Devils. Hall introduced the freshmen first, followed by the sophomores and then the three juniors that will be returning next season.

Then Hall introduced the seven seniors who will take with them several gifts, T-shirts and a Red Devil encased jersey bearing their number.

The seniors are, Jared Carson, Cody Head, Noah Faircloth, Tay Hammonds, John Paul, Dalton Spikes and Trent Johnson.

The 2014 Boosters presented Coach Hall with a team picture autographed by the entire 2014 State Champion team.

With the group of strong players returning, a repeat is not out of the question for these young men that play together as a team.
