A Williston man, arrested for distribution of obscene materials to a minor, attempted to escape custody by crawling through the ceiling at Tri County Hospital.

Abraham David Delcamp, 24, of NW 1st Ave., Williston was arrested by Cpl. Fred Morris Tuesday.

Delcamp was transported to the Williston Police Department for processing  and while there complained of chest pains and shortness of breath, according to a press release.

A medical crew was summoned to assist him. After evaluation the crew requested that he be transported to Tri-County Hospital for further evaluation.

While at the hospital, Delcamp asked that he be allowed to use the restroom. Once inside the restroom,  he removed the ceiling tile and entered the attic area in an attempt to escape.

Morris heard noise coming from the ceiling and again took the subject into custody without incident.

Delcamp was transported and booked into the Levy County Jail. Bond was set at $20,000.
