On April 7, just one night after the Lady Red Devil softball team gave up six runs to Ft. White on five throwing errors, the team played almost a perfect game at Newberry.
The Lady Devils got on the board in the first inning as lead off batter Crissy Rawls walked and stole second base before scoring on an Angie Wilcox single for a 1-0 lead.
Wilcox was then picked off at first base on a throw from the Newberry catcher. Kaitlyn Bannon then doubled with two outs, but was left stranded.
