For those who live in Levy County and the surrounding area, the big red auction barn located just west of Williston on U.S. Highway 27A is a well known landmark in the area.
Southern Auction Marketing is a modest local auction house that has strived to be a neighborhood friendly business.
Every Monday evening the parking lot begins to fill, and the bidding starts at 6:30 p.m.
One of the best-revered auctioneers in North Florida, Colonel Joel Kulcsar holds the gavel and with experience and knowledge of the merchandise, Joel becomes the star of the show.

The family business has continued to grow and is looking forward to the opening of “Auction Dust” a new variety store and possible coffee shop. Auction Dust Variety will be located adjacent to the big red auction barn.

One customer happened to walk into the auction barn while I was there doing this story. I approached him and asked why he shopped at Southern Auction Marketing? “I have always gotten great deals, they have a great selection of furniture, appliances, tools, and just about anything one is looking for. Their prices are good and the quality of the merchandise is well above average,” said Ray Pierce, a customer for the last two years.
With the opening of the new Auction Dust Variety Store, you will have the opportunity to shop the areas newest store Monday through Saturday.
