For almost a dozen years – 11 in fact – the mentally challenged in our county have been able to rely on the resources they need, thanks in part to the Ride to Provide, a motorcycle ride with its funds going to Levy ARC, located in Otter Creek.
The brainchild of former sheriff's deputy Sean Mullins has raised close to $120,000 over those years and has provided funding for a service that has seen state funding reduced year after year.
It started innocently enough – deputies going out to visit the adults who benefit most from ARC.
