School honors life long learner

Smiles glowed and tears flowed as the entire student body of Williston Elementary School gathered inside the third grade courtyard the morning of the Oct. 21 early release day to pay their respects one final time for the late Sherry Scott, who died in June.

Principal Cynthia Lewis introduced the family members and close friends in attendance: Lee Scott, brother, and his wife Sandra; Grace, Dannie and Margaret Scott, sisters; Takesia Scott, daughter; Chastity Frazier, granddaughter; Latoya Donald, niece; and close, long-time friends Hattie Rowe, Amiyah and Bruce.
