Optimism pays off.
Last week Williston City Council President Jason Cason said Levy County School administrators were more optimistic than he was after they learned that a new middle-high school in Williston ranked third and only two projects would get recommended by the Department of Education for funding.
But last Wednesday School Superintendent Bob Hastings received a letter that said on Aug. 15 the Special Facilities Construction Committee deemed the Williston Middle-High School project “a critical need.”
