Quilt Museum founder Winnelle Horne dies at 87

A former editor of this newspaper gave a staff writer her very first assignment that was more than a story:
Go to the Quilt Museum and meet Miss Winnelle and do a story on the 4H sewing camp.
What the editor did not say was: If Miss Winnelle likes you, you can keep your job.
Winnelle Horne was the straight talking director of the Levy County Quilt Museum, one of Levy County's jewels.
Miss Winnelle died Monday at the age of 87.
