The Central Florida Peanut Festival is coming! This is a family-friendly event sponsored by the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce. It features a variety of delicious foods and assorted types of peanuts and peanut products, including our famous southern peanut pie! Rides, music, crafts, vintage cars and antique tractors will also be here for your enjoyment.
The festival also has a Little Peanut King and Queen and a Baby Peanut Contest. On Saturday, Oct. 4, the festivities will take place at Williston Heritage Park, formerly Linear Park, (at the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and Main Street) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Some of the day's entertainment will include: Southbound band performing an arrangement of original music from their forthcoming album titled "Southbound," A Touch of Class featuring Carol, Russell and Checky performing many of their crowd favorites, Shelton Irwin & Son, the James Brothers, Pete Enwall, Hillary Cowart, the Magic Man, Bennett Gospel Band featuring Dawn Bennett, Brandy Meadows, Crossed Over Band Dawn Patterson and Reggie Stacey. Entertainment will be at both ends of the park so no matter where you are you will be able to enjoy great music!
