Peter C. Garofalo
Peter C. Garofalo, 92, died June 4, 2012 at  the VA Hospital in Gainesville.
He is survived  by his wife, Clara; daughter,Vickie Garner and son, Anthony of Orlando.
He was an avid golfer.

Theresa Barbara Hardee
Theresa Barbara Crossley Hardee, 72, died June 16, 2012.
She was born June 2, 1940 in Green Cove Springs.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Harold T. Hardee; daughter, Debra K. (Micheal)  Hardee-Harris of Huntsville, Ala.; son, Harold T. “Hal” (Luanne) Hardee of Madison, Ala.; grandson, Garrett Wade Hardee of Madison, Ala. and brother, Carl J. Crossley of Green Cove Springs.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, Thad and Pauline Crossley of Green Cove Springs.
A private family memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
 Cremation arrangements are under the care of Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville.

James Lewis
James Carroll Lewis, 77, of Chiefland died June 21, 2012 at Haven Hospice surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 27, 1935 in Williston to James C. and Ruth Lewis.
He lived all of his life in Levy County. He was a graduate from Williston High School.  He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Hardeetown Baptist Church of Chiefland.
He served in the United States Army. He worked as a part time farmer throughout his life. He worked as a campus police officer for the University of Florida. He was an employee of Knauff Funeral Home for over 50 years. He also worked the Bronson and Inverness Race Tracks for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, traveling, finding gemstones, going to the races and especially spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years and 11 months, Pat Lewis; daughters, Janice Lewis, Stephanie (Chad) Curl; sister, Martha (Donald) Tanner; six grandchildren and  eight great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held June 25 at Knauff Funeral Home in Williston with the interment to follow at Orange Hill Cemetery in Williston.
 The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Haven Hospice 311 NE 9th Street Chiefland, FL 32626.

Joseph LoMauro
Joseph Charles LoMauro, 84, of Williston died June 19, 2012.
 He was born Sept. 18, 1927 to Charles and Ninfa LoMauro in New York, N.Y.
He served in the United States Navy. He was of the Catholic faith. He moved to Williston 10 years ago from Ft. Lauderdale. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 5511, American Legion Post 236 and the Ornan Masonic Lodge 117. He worked as a carpenter most of his life. He enjoyed craft work especially anything made of wood, fishing, dancing and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Charles (Christine) LoMauro; daughter, Joanne (Steve) Snyder; brother, Michael (Byrdie) LoMauro; sister, Ann Aiello; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and special friends and caretaker Barbara Davis and her husband Bud.
A memorial service was held June 24 at Knauff Funeral Home-Williston with the Rev. Wes Smith officiating and Masonic Rites provided by the Ornan Masonic Lodge 117.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Palliative Care Program at Malcom Randall VA Medical Center 1601 SW Archer Road

Geraldine Parker

Geraldine Parker, 74, died June 18, 2012 in Chiefland.  
She was born May 23, 1938 in Jacksonville.  She moved to this area in 1980 from Clearwater.  She worked as a Store Clerk for Circle K.  She was of the Christian faith and loved to fish, paint and write poems in her spare time.
 Survivors include her daughter, Joy Bicchieri; her brother, John (Becky) Weatherford and many nieces and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald and Leslie Weatherford; her sister, Francis Gunter and her daughter, Elaine Parker.
