Mary E. Cowan
Mary E. Cowan, 62, of Old Town died Sunday, June 3, 2012.
She was born Oct. 19, 1948 in Nashville,  Ga. to the late Hartridge and Callie Wetherington.
She was a retired CNA/PCA.
Survivor include childre, Carl L. Cowan of Tretnon, Candice L. Yarghn of Old Town; brother, Ronald Wetherington of Tifton, Ga. and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jr. and Willard Wetherington.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 16  at 4 p.m. at Ful Gospel Outreach in Cheifland.
The Georgia memorial service will be held Saturday, June 30 at 2 p.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Nashville, with inurnment in the Poplar Springs Cemetery.

Mildred Daniel
Mildred L. Daniel, 90, of Jacksonville died June 5, 2012.
She was born  Sept. 12, 1921 in Trezevant, Tenn. to Silas and Ruby (Tate) Haskins. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of Murray Hill United Methodist Church in Jacksonville.
She moved 10 years ago to Jacksonville from Citra. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, needlework, sewing, fishing and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Louise (Reed) Morris; sons Don R. (Evelyn) Daniel, Paul  (Marian) Daniel, Joseph K. (MaryJo) Daniel; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the  Rev. Frank L. Daniel in 1991 and her granddaughter, Jessica Daniel.
 Funeral services were held  Saturday, June 9 at Murray Hill Methodist Church with the Rev. Carmen Arnett and Mother Nancy Suellau officiating. A graveside service with interment followed the services at Citra Cemetery in Citra.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home or Murray Hill Methodist Church of Jacksonville Building Fund.
Arrangements were under the care of Knauff Funeral Home-Williston.

Margaret Long
Margaret M. Long, 90, died Sunday, June 10, 2012.
She was a native of Jasper and the daughter of the late William Stewart Mitchell and Annette Wetherington Mitchell and  moved to Ocala in 1942.
 She was a member of Ft. King Presbyterian Church and the Order of Eastern Star.  She was retired bookkeeper for her family business, H.M. Long Lumber Co.  
She is survived by her children, Harry (Altha) Long Jr.  of Tampa, Irva (Thomas) Harper of Chiefland, Marjorie (Henry) Moxon  of Ocala and I. A. “Val” (Lynn) Long  of Atlanta, Ga., her brother, Lt. Col. (Ret) Shelton O. Mitchell of Jasper; her t10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, H.M. Long and one grea-great-grandchild.
 Graveside services will be held  Saturday, June 16 at 11 a.m.  at Highland Memorial Park, 1515 NE 3rd St., Ocala.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Marion County.

Gene Malinowski
Gene Malinowski, 77, of Cedar Key died at the Select Specialty Hospital in Gainesville.  
He was born in Detroit, Mich.  Feb. 13, 1935 to the late Frank and Angeline (Solek) Malinowski.  
He was living in Mansfield Ohio in 2005 when he moved to Cedar Key.
 He attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Chiefland, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was an engineering professor a Ohio State University.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, sailing, art, photography and loved old cars.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 55 years, Rose Malinowski of Cedar Key; son and daughter-in-law, Gary andCynthia Malinowski of Golden Valley, Minn.; daughter and her fiancé, Susan Malinowski and Mario Bellizzi of Big Surf, Cailf.; daughter, Cynthia Kroll of Henderson, Nev.; son, David Malinowski of Cedar Key; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin  and Mardi  Malinowski of Avon, Ohio, daughter and son-in- law Judith and Garrett McQuillen of McMurry, Pa.; brothers Dr. Robert (Mary) Malinowski of Jefferson, Ohio, Leonard (and his late wife Mary) Malinowski of Fredericksburg, Va.; his sister, Christine (Bob) Neelis of Denver, Colo.; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be Saturday, June 16 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Chiefland with Father Joe McDonnell officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Knights of Columbus or to The St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Chiefland.

Georgette Redmond
Georgette V. Redmond, 85, of Chiefland died June 5, 2012 at Haven Hospice of the Tri Counties in Chiefland.
 She was born in Frederick, Md. and moved to this area in 1978.  She was a homemaker, a foster parent for 18 years and of the Lutheran faith.
She is survived by her husband, Charles F. Redmond of Chiefland; daughters, Norma Jean Crum of Maryland and Darlene Fay Hughes of Trenton; son, Charles John Redmond of Maryland and three grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, Md.
