Harold Richard “Rick” Booth, 61, of McDonough, Ga. died May 21, 2012.
He was born and raised in Cedar Key, the son of the late William Willis and Ruth Morgan Booth.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, history, genealogy, fossils and was known for his patriotism.
Survivors are his wife of 37 years, Pat Booth of McDonough; children Dawn Booth (Craig) Fritz of McDonough, Keith (Laura) Booth of Centerville, Ga.; grandchildren, Alex, Joycee and Tori Fritz and Reagan and Owen Booth; sister, Wilma Daniel of Cedar Key and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, William Wesley Booth.
A memorial service was held May 23 at Hampton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Burgess officiating. Interment was May 25, at Cedar Key Cemetery in Cedar Key.
Haisten Funeral Home – McDonough was in charge of arrangements. Interment arrangements were under the care of Knauff Funeral Home in Chiefland.

William “Bill” A. Cherico, 95, of Archer died May 25, 2012.
He was born May 8, 1917 in White Plains, N.Y. to Peter and Rose Cherico.
He was of the Christian faith. He served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. He retired after 17 years of service. He also a received a Purple Heart.
He then went on to work as a clerk with the United States Postal Service and retired after many years of service.
He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion as well as a past member of the Williston Golf and Country Club. He enjoyed golfing and gardening.
He is survived by his brother, Fred Cherico and niece, Jamie Veihdeffer along with his long time friend of 66 years and caretaker Tom Mackey.
Arrangements were under the care of Knauff Funeral Home-Williston.
Michael Heffren Jr.
Michael J. Heffren Jr., 79, of Chiefland died at his home May 23, 2012.
He moved to the Chiefland area 10 years ago from New Jersey, where he worked as a draftsman. He was of Catholic faith.
He was a member of the Elks Club in New Jersey and enjoyed bowling.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Catherine; sons, Michael (Tracy) Heffren III and Kevin (Wendy) Heffren; daughters, Denise (Michael) Petersen and Karen (Jack) Dickieson; a sister; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Carl D. McCormick, 82, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Haven Hospice of the Tri-Counties.
He was born Jan. 16, 1930 in Guthrie, Ky. to Arthur L. McCormick and Rusie Strode McCormick. He moved to Trenton in 1984 from West Palm Beach. He was a manager with the Royal Palm Ice Company.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Hargrove McCormick of Trenton; his daughter, Carlene M. (Frank) Donato of Jupiter; his son, Dan J. (Suzie) McCormick of Colton, Calif.; his sister, Ann Lois Sharkey of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Carey L. (Terri) McCormick, Caitlin Adler and Alex Adler and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 26 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Greg Douglas officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
